Multicoloured Heart of Opatija

Slatina They have grown into one, united with the bonds that cannot be torn up. Opatija, on one side, with its seccesion facades, monuments and camellias and-Slatina beach, on the other side, being the caleidoscope of coloured towels, flower garden made from sunshades in lively colours, a mixed choir of laughter and murmurs. That's love at every sight-whether it's a view on Kvarner Bay, cheerful game in the shallow or on the laptop screen, which offers you a view on the whole world through acceptable Internet connection.

Slatina is the biggest beach in Opatija and one of the main cores of entertainment. But the clean sea and neat sunbathing area with easychairs, sunshades and showers are not the only things Slatina has to offer.

When you get a bit tired from the waves and the sun, you can relax on the terrace of the Vongola restaurant or one of the coffee bars-you can choose between Gosser, Kremenko (Flintstone) and Batana. There you can enjoy the tasteful menu, rich offer of food and drink or one of entertainment programmes organised on this beach, throughout the whole summer. If you want more adrenalin, you can ride a mechanical bull or climb an artificial rock. On the other hand, if you are more into culture and art, on Slatina you can see and buy original works of the students of Academy of Fine Arts in Rijeka or join one of the creative, art workshops.

You will never forget the days spent on Slatina. You will remember them as the days when you were a part of the summer, the sun and the sea, happy that your whole body could feel the rhythm of throbing the multicoloured heart of Opatija.
